Minimum age to officiate modified, JV, and varsity is 18 years old.
Minimum age to officiate youth is 14 years old.
Girl’s lacrosse is fast paced and played on a 100 yard by 40 yard playing field. Officials must have good physical fitness in order to maintain proper positioning and safely administer contests.
Officials are assigned games March to May Monday-Friday 4:00pm-9:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am-9:00pm. Youth games are April to June Saturdays/Sundays. Tournaments are weekends June through November.
New York State requires officials be digitally fingerprinted and cleared by New York State Education Department. This is a one-time requirement and fee. $125.00
Officials must pass USAL’s online exams annually. USAL Membership required. New Officials must pass a field evaluation their first and second year then renew their rating every three years.
